I recently transfered into the school with the plan of going into the computer security program but i applied too late so i decided to go with cmit computer and information technology program because it has always been another interest of mine and i figured if i got a computer security minor i would be able to get.

The cyber security master s program is designed for students who have an undergraduate computing degree in an area such as computing security computer science information technology networking or software engineering as well as those who have a strong background in a field in which computers are applied such as computer or electrical engineering. After earning the ritx cybersecurity micromasters program certificate students are eligible to apply to rit s master of science in computing security program if accepted students with the micromasters program certificate will be awarded 9 credit hours towards their degree requirements. If accepted into the rit program the edx micromasters program certificate will count for 9 credits toward a master of science in computing security degree which is a total of 30 credits.

So for a while now i ve wanted to get into the computer security field. We are currently recruiting 3 ph d. The computing security degree at rit is a cybersecurity degree that provides students with a solid foundation in programming and mathematics and an extensive selection of advanced topics from the areas of the network and system security digital forensics and malware software security data security and privacy to cyber analytics and intelligence.
